Honey Oat Slice
A slice of comfort you’ll want to keep on hand for busy mornings or afternoon tea. This Honey Oat Slice brings together pantry staples — Kangaroo Island Oats, coconut, and dried fruit — with the golden sweetness of our Kangaroo Island honey. It’s healthy, quick to make, keeps beautifully, and always tastes like home.

Ingredients
1 cup Kangaroo Island Rolled Oats
1 cup dried apricots (diced)1 tbsp raw sugar
½ cup desiccated coconut
½ cup wholmeal self-raising flour
140g unsalted butter (melted)
½ cup (8 tbsp) Premium Raw Honey
Splash of milk or juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C (170C fan forced)
- Line a slice or lamington tin with baking paper
- Melt the butter and honey together on a slow heat until smooth and combined
- Mix oats, apricots, sugar, coconut, and flour in an large bowl
- Pour the warm butter-honey mixture over the dry ingredients. Add a small splash or milk or juice if needed to bring the mixture together - it should be moist and sticky, not wet.
- Press mixture firmly into the lined tin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
- Cut into squares while still warm, then cool completely in the tin before removing.
Tips
- If you like it sweeter or stickier, add up to 2 extra tablespoons of honey.
- For a firmer slice, chill after cooling to help it set.
